This artwork, commissioned by a coastal family, beautifully embodies the love and connection shared by Rebecca, her husband, their 9 children, and 17 grandchildren. Painted in calming shades of blue, the oceanic tones reflect the family's coastal life, with shimmering metallic blue sea animals bringing the canvas to life as the light shifts throughout the room. At the heart of the painting, traditional U-shaped symbols depict the entire family, the grandchildren sitting together in the 4 outer symbols and Rebecca, her husband and their 9 children sitting together around a campfire in the centre, with journey lines connecting everyone and representing their enduring bond.
